SEMESTER EXTRA CREDIT
You can complete as many of the following EXTRA CREDIT opportunities that you would like to make up for a missed assignment or to raise your grade on an assignment you already completed.
TOPICS
- Rotation & Revolution
- Seasons
- Solstices & Equinoxes
- Phases of the Moon
- Eclipses
- Tides
You must complete ALL of the following parts (Vocabulary, Summary, Diagram, Questions and Oral Defense) of as many TOPICS (Rotation/Revolution, Seasons, Solstice/Equinox, Phases of the Moon, Eclipses & tides) as you like.
You can put all of this information into any form that you like to present it to me; book, newspaper, paper, poster, blog entry, PowerPoint, video, etc...
For each of the following topics, you must complete the following:
- Vocabulary: construct a chart including the word, your native language and definition of each related word in the topic
- Summary: write a paragraph summarizing the main ideas of the topic; MUST include ALL of the vocabulary from the topic
- Diagram(s): illustrate a detailed diagram(s) describing all of the vocabulary words from the topic, label the parts of the diagram(s)
- Questions: create 10 quiz questions about this topic
- **Oral Defense: defend your knowledge of the topic by answering a series of related questions on the topic and get teacher approval on the work
** YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC FOR CREDIT; No credit will be awarded if you do not PASS the Oral Defense**
